Sažetak
In this paper an analysis of durability of tunnel primary support as a function of the loss of mechanical properties of the elements of this system that change the state of stress and strain of secondary lining is made. On the example of Mala Kapela Tunnel constructed on the Bregana-Zagreb-Dubrovnik highway, complex non-linear numerical analyses were carried out to quantify the above-mentioned influences. The methods for measuring and monitoring the behaviour of secondary lining, consisting of the measurements of secondary lining deformations and convergence measurements were proposed. To determine actual load on secondary lining, it is proposed in the paper that stress measurements should be performed at the contact of secondary lining and the primary support, and that the check of the quality of the bond of the primary support with the secondary lining should be made. The measurements proposed, if used in combination with non-linear analyses, would lead to much better understanding and predictions of the states of stress and strain into which the secondary tunnel lining can get.
