Sažetak
Globalization, technical advancements, technological innovations, demographical movement and workspace virtualization create a new approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (hereinafter CSR) practice. This paper links elements of CSR to organizational performance of Croatian Firms. Main objective of the paper is to analyze perception and general understanding of CSR in business community in Croatia. Government, leaders, decision and opinion makers from private and public, profit and not-for-profit sector, and media from all over the world are finding themselves increasingly exposed to issues and concerns related to this topic. When making decision Croatian mangers have o involve many aspects which are related to CSR from environment and community to employee and customer relations. On the other hand three further areas dominated CSR debate in recant times: stakeholder theory, the notion of trust and business ethics. Therefore, the ability to understand and effectively manage given social framework is a very important ingredient in successful management and long living organization. Few CSR studies have been conducted in the developing countries which have complete different socio-economic, institutional and political context then developed countries. This paper will present the results of a survey on CSR practices in Croatia.
