Sažetak
During the past century Central and Southeastern European petroleum companies have completed difficult process of market transformation. Their production and market capacities have been privatized, with follow-up restructuring, and their management has been placed under great modernization. With strategic alliances, groups concentrated i.e. around Hungarian Petroleum Company Mol, or Austrian OMV, are trying to sustain their firm position on domicile market, at the same time defending that position against western and eastern takeovers. Beside that, strategic alliances could strengthen their competitive position on markets of Central and Southeastern European surrounding.
