Sažetak
The quality of knitting yarns from cotton/modal blends spun in counts of Nm 34, Nm 40 and Nm 50, and yarns made from 100% viscose fibres spun in counts of Nm 50 and Nm 60 was assessed. The yarns were spun by the standard short-staple spinning process. Standard yarn parameters were determined: total yarn irregularity, thin places, thick places, neps and tensile properties. Uster Statistics 2001 was the basis for the assessment of the afore mentioned parameters
