Sažetak
Introduction Anesthetic agents affect intraoperative monitoring of evoked potentials either by their direct action on the monitoring modality or by changing the psychological variables affecting the potentials such as cerebral blood flow, metabolic rate, temperature and hemodynamics. Patients and methods We shall present anesthesiological and evoked potentials data from 2o8 operations done from January 2oo1 till January 2oo2. during which different monitoring modalities where used. Depending of the modalities used total intravenous anesthesia propofol-fentanyl, and barbiturate-fentanyl, nitrous oxyde combination without neuromuscular blocking agents were used. Results The data show that regardless of the agents used a stable anesthetic regimen is the most important factor for a successfull monitoring.
