Sažetak
Moderate drinking of red wine and ethanol showed opposite effects on recovery of contractile function after ischemia-reperfusion injury in the isolated rat heart where ethanol proved to be detrimental in comparison to red wine. However, in the isolated vascular rings model, despite observed tendencies, we could not prove that red wine differently preserves vascular reactivity, in comparison with ethanol and water.
