Sažetak
The experimental optical methods for strain-stress analysis provide the possibility to determine the important parameters for the assessment of strength of the structure components subjected to high gradients of deformations. Isotropic body contact can be solved quite easy, while such possibility for anisotropic bodies (e.g. fiber-reinforced composites) are still limited. The phenomena of body contact and the formation of the damaged zones in the individual plies or in bimaterial interfaces is interesting to be studied for the proper evaluation of possible application of optical method of caustics for solving such a kind of problem. A sudden increase of deformations is characteristic for the region around the stress concentrator - the point of concentrated force loading or in the vicinity of a small contact area. The investigations of high deformation gradients are directed to the determination of the implemented force in the region of extremely high stresses. The method of caustics is very sensitive to stress gradients and changes in surface deformation ; therefore is di-rectly employed for evaluation stresses and strains of deformed body.
