Sažetak
Civitas Iovia, most probably Ludbreg in north-west Croatia, was included in the theme of the symposium "The autonomus towns of Noricum and Pannonia" on account of its being mentioned as civitas in Roman literary sources. The town has been analysed based on previous archaeological exavations, archival sources and secondary literature. The following aspects have been included: 1) The problem of locating civitas Iovia ; 2) THe geographical position ; 3) The history of the town ; 4) The history of research ; 5) Topography ; 6) The ager and the cemeteries ; 7) The town and the suburbium ; 8) Continuity of settlement ; 9) Religion
