Sažetak
Carp were caught by angling in Vransko Lake in autumn 1999 (September and November). Of the 70 specimens caught, 39 were male, 28 were female and, three were of undetermined sex. The same reasons apply for the CF which with 1.62± ; ; 0.22 was higher than 20 years ago which was again similar to the 1960s values varying between 1.24 and 1.46, depending on age. The back calculated growth in total length of Vransko carp can be expressed by the folloving formula: Lt= 81.97 (1-e -0.122 (t+0.811)) The phi prime of carp in vransko lake was 6.71. Carps transferred to the Mediterranean Vransko Lake more than 50 years ago adapted well to the lake s two main characteristic: its oligotropgy and prolonged vegetation period in a mild climate.
