Sažetak
Nowadays, numerical modeling and computer simulation are done prior to experimental work and in-field trials in research for new designs and capabilities of photonics systems. We have developed a numerical model of optical link consisting of fiber, optical amplifiers and filters using FDM approach. On the basis of numerical model computer program FiberProp was developed and used in research of high bit-rate propagation and PMD effects.
