Sažetak
The Museum fro the History of Veterinary Medicine at The Veterinary Faculty University of Zagreb was established in 1936. The collected exhibit items are classified according to groups. One of the groups is a large collection of veterinary instruments, which are classified according to various veterinary fields and by the type of the operation in clinical diagnostic and medical treatment. Most instruments in the Museum originate from the period when the veterinary medicine was primarily used in diagnostics and treatment of large domestic animals. Thus instruments were used in large animal practice. A great deal of the described instruments is not in use any more and they have only a museum value. The purpose of this paper is to introduce int the history of veterinary medicine and the development of the veterinary science generally.
