Sažetak
City logistics concept for the new economy, in which is obvious a decrease in shipment sizes and growth in home delivery, need to be very responsive but must also be able to exploit every opportunity for aggregation, in some cases even with competitors, to help decrease the transportation cost of small shipments. Information technologies serve as the eyes and ears in city logistics. To explain the role of information technologies in city logistics we have considered its targets, its service offerings and the main techniques upon which it is based. Special attention in this scientific paper is given to routing and scheduling problems because these problems represent a hearth of many city logistics problems. This paper represents a quality starting point for further researcher in this field.
