Sažetak
The Faculty of Geodesy Zagreb, in cooperation with State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia and Croatian Geodetic Institute, established the Basic Gravimetric Network of the Republic of Croatia in 2002. It contains 42 points. The scale and datum have been defined by the measurements at 6 absolute gravity points presenting 0. Order gravity network, while the I. order gravity network is defined with 36 points. Zero series of measurements in this network have been done in the period between June and August 2003. Three gravimeters, two Scintrex CG-3M and one Scintrex CG-5 have been used for relative measurements. After all necessary corrections to the raw data have been applied (partly directly in field and partly in post- processing) and the daily drift for each instrument was calculated, the measured gravity differences have been adjusted resulting with the final gravity values and belonging accuracy estimation at every point. Obtained standard deviations have the average value of 5.1x10-8 ms-2 (μ gal), minimum value of 3.6x10-8 ms-2 and maximum value of 6.8x10-8 ms-2, confirming good quality of the first results for the new Croatian Basic Gravimetric Network. Since it is the first event of that kind in the Republic of Croatia, further serious works in this interesting area of geodesy and geophysics can be undoubtedly expected ; such are network densification and repeat measurements, in order to encompass the time gravity variations at the investigated area.
