Sažetak
Histopathological changes in the digestive gland were examined on the freshwater snail Amphimelania holandri exposed to sodium pentachlorophenolate (Na-PCP). Recorded changes appeared in the following order: cells vacuolation, erosion, shelling and clustering of epithelium tubule cells and lysis of connective tissue of the digestive gland. Succesion of histopathological changes were related to increase of Na-PCP concentration and time of exposure. At higher concentrations of Na-PCP (1 and 5.6 mg L-1) necrotic changes were observed during the period of acute exposure, whereas, at lowest concentration (0.56 mg L-1) they did not appear.
