Sažetak
The effects of thin-rimmed gear size expressed by different number of teeth upon a tooth fillet stress alternation, was the subject of investigation. The research into stress state of standard spur gear tooth was performed by means of 3D FEM and using the developed pinion-wheel model. The stress alternation has been followed of maximum fillet stress point on tensile side of the loaded tooth at characteristic points of single pair tooth contact. The analysis of the stress results enables the insight into and the comparison of stress alternation as the rim thickness decreases, along with the variation of actual gear facewidth for the gear with fewer and larger number of teeth.
