Sažetak
The article presents some aspects of ergonomic modelling of elastic components of upholstered furniture using traditional techniques and numerical methods. Special emphasis was put on the fact that numerical methods allow us to design both individual elastic elements in the form of sets of coil springs or asymmetric conical springs as well as complete spring assemblies of seats or bedsteads. Numerical modelling of ergonomic functions of furniture allows to adjust optimally the extent of deformations and the value of pressure exerted by the underlayment on the users body.
