U ovom radu predo eni su preliminarni rezultati ispitivanja propusnosti nove barijerne folije na plinove. Ispitivana tripleks folija koju ini: poli(etilen-tereftalat)/poli(etilen-tereftalat)/polietilen s nanosom SiOx dobivena je izravno od proizvoa a. Na tripleks foliji ispitana je propusnost na kisik, duaik i ugljikov dioksid u temperaturnom podru ju od 25 oC do 40 oC. Takoer je ispitan i utjecaj sila gu~vanja na propusnost plinova kod ove folije. SUMMARY Barrier properties of the packaging have influence on the shelf life of food products and on food quality. In this paper a preliminary results on gases permeability of a new type of barrier foil have been analysed. For this purpose a triplex foil poly(ethylene- terephtalate)/ poly(ethylene- terephtalate)/polyethylene with SiOx deposit was obtained from producer. Oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide permeabilities for the mentioned triplex foil, in temperature range from 25 oC to 40 oC, were investigated. The influence of damage caused by creasing strain on gas permeabilities for this foil was also analysed. UVOD Jedan od novijih tipova ambala~nih materijala svakako predstavlja plasti ni materijal prevu en barijernim filmom anorganskog oksida kao ato je silicijev oksid. Ovaj tip plasti ne prevlake u literaturi se esto spominje kao "fleksibilno staklo" (flexible glass)1. Silicijev oksid, koji je nosioc barijernih svojstava, ozna ava se kao SiOx, budui da se postupkom evaporacije pri visokom vakuumu dobiva smjesa silicijeva mono- i di-oksida. Vrijednost x- u formuli nalazi se izmeu 1,5 i 1,8. Ni~e vrijednosti x-a u formuli rezultiraju izvanrednim barijernim svojstvima na kisik, uz ne~eljeni u inak loaije transparentnosti i ja eg ~utog obojenja. Odabirom vrijednosti x = 1,7 dobiveni su zadovoljavajui rezultati s obzirom na svojstva transparentnosti i propusnosti folije2. Nadalje, SiOx je vrlo inertan i udovoljava zahtjevima propisanim zakonima Europske Unije (EU)3 s obzirom na vrijednosti globalne migracije. Princip izgradnje slojeva u laminatu koji sadr~ava SiOx nanos mo~e se prikazati na sljedei na in1-2. izvana Povrainski tisak   PE  Obratni tisak PE   PET #12  SiOx PET #12 PE iznutra Kako se zakonima EU predvia i recikla~a ambala~nog materijala, ato je naro ito va~no kod proizvodnje laminata koji sadr~avaju dva ili viae razli itih materijala, laminati sa nanosom SiOx mogu imati zna ajne prednosti u odnosu na klasi ne slo~ene materijale. Naime SiOx nanos iznosi svega oko 0,1 mikron te se mo~e smatrati kao integralni dio prevlake i reciklirati kao homogeni materijal. REZULTATI I RASPRAVA Na slici 1 su prikazani rezultati propusnosti plinova kroz tripleks foliju s nanosom SiOx u temperaturnom podru ju od 25 oC do 40 oC. Uo en je gotovo identi an trend promjene propusnosti ispitivanih plinova s porastom temperature.Vrijednosti propusnosti nalaze u podru ju od 160 - 240 cm3 m-2 d-1 bar-1. Pri temperaturi od 40 oC ispitivana folija pokazuje identi ne ili ni~e vrijednosti u odnosu na one dobivene pri temperaturi od 25 oC ato potvruje podatke iz literature o izvanrednim barijernim svojstvima SiOx laminata na kisik1-3. Gas permeability of triplex foil with SiOx deposit at different temperatures  Izlaganjem folije sili gu~vanja (do 150 ciklusa) gotovo da nema utjecaja na propusnost CO2. Meutim, pri istom broju ciklusa propusnost na kisik je poveana (350 cm3 m-2 d-1 bar-1) u odnosu na foliju koja nije bila podvrgnuta gu~vanju (200 cm3 m-2 d-1 bar-1). Zna ajnije poveanje propusnosti uo eno je kod duaika pri broju ciklusa od 150 (580 cm3 m-2 d-1 bar-1) u odnosu na vrijednost netretiranog uzorka (200 cm3 m-2 d-1 bar-1). Slika 2.
