Sažetak
The main goal of our research work was to determine influence of close monitoring of dairy cows on the incidence of clinical and subclinical mastitis and consequently milk production. We took two groups of cows of symmental breed. First group consisted of 26 cows milked in their barns and second group consisted of 24 cows milked in herringbone parlor. We monitored morphological conformation of the udder, physical caracteristics of the teat pre and postmilking, influence of desinfection and different milking equipment and we took samples for bacteriological analysis from the teat apex, teat skin, milking-tube and from the environment of the cow. We also analysed anamnestical data about previus incidence of mastitis on monitored dairy farms and for all cows in our experiment. We measured distance from the teat apex to the floor, udder cleft, teat lenght and teat width pre and postmilking and udder depth. We also took milk samples for bacteriological analysis and total number of bacteria in milk. We preformed mastitis test and antibiogram for all cows. We compared all obtained data for group of cows milked on free stall barn with group of cows milked on herringbone parlor. We concluded that intensive monitoring of all important data included in milk production can significantly improve milk production and decrease incidence of mastitis no metter does we milk cows in the free stall barn or on herringbone parlor, but it is extremely important to consider all other anamnestic data (changing of milking personell-human factor and milking equipment, other deseases or unexpected changes) to be sure how to interprete and compare all obtained data with given and desired milk production.
