Sažetak
This paper deals with specifics of short welds that are typical for repair welding. Theoretical determination of nonstationary temperature field, wich appears during welding, is done by application of modified solutions of Furier heat flow equations. Nonstationary of temperature fields has an influence on mechanical properties of welded joint (strengt, hardness, toughness, ...) and therefore it is important to include this knowledge in welding and especially in repair welding. In an example of high strenhth microalloyed steel for manual arc welding the length of nonstationary zone was calculated. With equal heat input experimental plate of microalloyed steel was welded. Hardness in heat affected zone along fusion line was measured. Hardness value obtained in the nonstationary zone was significantly higher. That makes nonstationary zone significantly weaker than the stationary zone (for example from the standpoint of Stress Corrosion Cracking). It is necessary to avoid or reduce its influence. To record welding parameters and weld temperature due to better experimental determination of unstationary it is suitable to use "on-line" monitor that is described in this paper. The main idea of this work is to stress that hardness and other mechanical properties measured in short welds are essentially different to those measured at location of stationary temperature field (middle of long welds), and that is necessary to prescribe different welding parameters for short welds in relation to those valid for long welds.
