Sažetak
Low zinc bioavaiability, due to MT (metallothioneins), may play a pivotal role, other than for thymocytes, also for liver extrathymic T-cell pathway. The significant correlations between MT and thymic or peripheral immune parameters only in young pHx mice supports this interpretation.
