Sažetak
In order to optimize the performance of a furnace in respect to polutant formation, energy efficiency and required heat flux to the load a simulation model covering all aspects of fluid flow, turbulence, flame chemistry and thermal radiation is required. A full three-dimensional models and adequate experimental measurements to be used in highlighting the physical and chemical phenomena that occur in a burner flame and validating the subsequent numerical simulations are reviewed and discussed in this paper.
