Sažetak
Results of this study suggest that digastric muscles are very sensitive to mandibular position changes, which is clearly observable in the healthy control group. In patients with TMD, however, such digastric muscle sensitivity to changes of mandibular position is not present. It is probably due to their protective function, which could be explained by intention of reducing mandibular movements in TMD patients. If such self limiting mechanisms were not present, worsening of disorder would be expected.
