Sažetak
The impact of sewing needle on the yarns in the knitted fabric structure is investigated. Forces and stresses developed in the course of sewing needle penetration into the structure of the fabric are discussed. Measuring system for defining sewing needle penetration force is shortly described, as well as new devices for testing loop damages occurring on knitted fabric. It is possible to optimize technological factors in knitted garment manufacturing employing the analysis of the influential factors discussed here.
