Sažetak
The data on pumping rates and groundwater levels obtained for the major Eastern Slavonia water-well fields are analyzed. A continuous increase in drawdown during the period of ten and more years of pumping indicates that the safe yields, i.e. the rechargeable pumping rates are lower than the calculated ones. This disharmony is due to the fact that the results of the short-term pumping tests conducted on the exploratory wells show the deviation from the Theis response, so the yield calculations were conducted assuming the leaky aquifer system recharged by rainfalls and their leakage through overlaying aquitard. The measurement results confirm that the Eastern Slavonia hydrogeological system is not a classical Hantush's leaky aquifer system. The deviations in "time-drawdown" curves during the short-term pumping tests were exclusively due to the water released from the storage in the low-permeability units. The present paper is intended to point to the detected differences between the assumed and actual rechargeable pumping rates (safe yields), what should be considered in forecasting the capacities of the future water-well fields in similar hydrogeological conditions.
