Sažetak
The article discusses the formation of the Hungarian-Croatian union in 1102, which lasted until 1918, and the different national myths which arouse during the Middle Ages and later, throughout the existence of the union. The myths offered the interpretation that the union was a result of an agreement between the two sides, while the Hungarian historiography, especially during the 19th century, claimed that Hungarians conquered Croatia and forced it into the union.
