Sažetak
A rare case of unilateral palatine tonsil enlargement in a 21-year old male is presented. Histological analysis revealed papillary lymphoid hyperplasia, an unusual form of lymphoid hyperplasia of undefined etiology. It is extremely rare condition, predominantly involving young Asian females. Excluding Asian population, only isolated cases have been described. Thought the clinical presentation is indistinguishable from other benign or malignant tumors it should be recognised as it is benign in nature and easily cured by tonsillectomy.
