Sažetak
Clinical studies conducted in patients with different types of tumours showed a significant influence of body composition on the metabolism of anticancer drugs and consequently on the response to treatment and its toxicity which could affect the overall prognosis. Analysis of the results of body composition measurements in correlation with QoL showed the impact of body composition on certain QoL subdomains during chemotherapy. In clinical practice this information could be used to determine the group of patients which could benefit from additional support measures to help them have better QoL during treatment and ultimately best possible outcome.
