Juveniles of variegated scallop Chlamys varia (Lin., 1758) were grown in suspension in Mali Ston Bay to study the growth rate. For the experiment, we used juveniles from last year spawning season. Experiment lasted for 21 months, cages with juveniles of variegated scallop were placed at tree depths: 1, 3 and 5 m. At the end of experiment at 1 m depths the length were 43-59 mm, at 3 m depths 42-53 mm and at 5 m depths, the lengths were 44-55 mm. The average monthly growth of the shell height for the total experiment period was 1.7, 1.6 and 1.7 at 1, 3 and 5 m depth respectively.
