Sažetak
In this chapter I will take into consideration the manifold aspects of human traumatic experiences. They appear on conscious and unconscious levels since the beginning of one’s existence, perhaps even before that. These experiences stimulate looking for a secure base and for establishment of trustful relationships. The regulation of these processes are shaped by the vertical law of the father and the horizontal law of the mother. The horizontal axis of the law of the mother, with its prohibition of violent behaviour, can enable development of the reparative work of mourning. Thus liberated mental features and energy could then be redirected towards sublimation and the new creativity.
