Sažetak
Peptide immunotherapy for allergic diseases requires protrached treatment period. Short peptide contains the major immunodominant T cell epitopes of allergenic proteins.Other peptide- based approaches involve the use of B cell epitopes. Ti has been shown that peptide immunotherapy result in clinical efficacy in several clinical trials. The mechanisms by which peptide immunotherapy achieves its efficacy remains incompletely understood. Synthetic peptides have a number of advantages because they can be manufactured under standardized conditions.
