Sažetak
80 patients(P) with BHR to metacholine(M)were analyzed due to total IgE level and clinical data associated with the severity of bronchial response. The provocation tests were continued until provocative concentration (mg/ml)causing at least 20% decrease of FEV1 was reached (Pc20FEV1). SEVERE BHR: PC20FEV1 0.03-0, 126 ; high IgE 67% ; norm IgE 33% P 3 Moderate BHR severity PC20FEV1 0, 25-1 ; hhigh Ige 100% P 5 ; mild BHR severyty PC20FEV1 2-4, high IgE 53% ; norm IgE 47%, P 36 ; slight BHR PC20FEV1 8-16: high IgE 35%, norm IgE 64% P 36. 39 patients had high level of total IgE (IgE>122 kU/L)which dominated in the group with stronger BHR. Looking at clinical signs we found 41% of patients with transient bronchoobstruction, mostly in the group of seere and moderate BHR while the others had various respiratory symptoms (cough, rhinitis, bronchitis). The results showed that atopy is positively correlated with severity of bronchial sensibility. The arranging of BHR into categories provides a suitable method for comparing the different group of patients with bronchial hyperreactivity.
