In this summer school's lecture the crucial aspect of the emergence of scientific culture was discussed in more detail: it was the Renaissance anti-Aristotelianism. In particular, the focus was on the works of Frane Petrić (Francesco Patrizi) and his indirect influence on Mario Nizolio and Galileo Galilei.
