Sažetak
Efficiency of wasted black tea were investigated as a low-cost adsorbent for removal of methylen blue dye from aqueous solution. Different methods and chemical activators were used to produce activated carbon. Batch experiments were conducted to determine the factors affecting adsorption and kinetics of the process. Fixed bed column experiments were performed to study practical applicability. This study demonstrated the ability of waste tea as an effective, low-cost and sustainable adsorbent for removal organic pollutant.
