Sažetak
Be it for pilgrimage, trade routes, or intellectual mobility, the Adriatic Sea played a key role in enabling mobility to and throughout the Mediterranean since the beginnings of maritime transportation – as the first entrance point from the land, it offered numerous communication possibilities. This introduction to the panel will explore established mobility patterns throughout the late Medieval Croatian lands, their importance for the transmission of culture(s), and offer insight into the state of the research in respective fields with an accent on the role of the sea.
