Sažetak
Author analyzes the historical circumstances of the construction of the lazaretto in Split and points out the formal similarities between the earlier stages of the lazaretto and large Ottoman merchant caravansaries in the territory of Bosnia, which, just like the Split lazaretto, were used for lodging and accommodation of Ottoman merchants and their goods on the way to and from Venice.
