Sažetak
Croatian national legislation, following directive 2013/59/EURATOM, requires establishment and periodical revision of diagnostic reference levels (DRLs). During 2018 Medical physics department has collected data, and typical values for diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures that are carried out at University Hospital Rijeka were proposed. After that all Croatian healthcare facilities that have a nuclear medicine department were encouraged to set their own typical values. Typical values and local DRLs should be compared with national DRLs. At the moment, national DRLs for diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures are set as maximum usual applied activity for typical adult patient, which is not in agreement with the recommendations given by International Commission Radiological Protection (ICRP). Bone imaging with 99mTc - phosphates and phosphonates is one of the most common performed nuclear medicine diagnostic procedure and it is performed in all Croatian nuclear medicine departments. In this work results of the investigation on typical values for bone imaging of standard patients in 7 Croatian nuclear medicine departments are presented. Investigation included 6 university hospitals and 1 general hospital. Results are a part of a project whose final aim is the proposal of new national DRLs for nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures based on national survey and derived in accordance with ICRP recommendations.
