Sažetak
Cardiac MRI is invaluable in follow-up of heart morphology, function and complications after Fontan procedure. Even though the correction surgery greatly improved, the fact remains that the one ventricle does the extra work leading to inevitable complications, so the Fontan patient needs a lifetime surveillance and careful management of imaging methods in order to improve life quality and expectancy. The role of radiologist's knowledge of Fontan „physiology“ and progression of disease is essential to differentiate normal post-operative findings from complications and in evaluating each modality in timely managing patient's treatment.
