Sažetak
Intense and long-lasting heat waves can have a negative impact on human health. To prevent health and timely inform the public, especially sensitive groups of people in Croatia, the heatwave warning system has been developed. Warnings are issued during summer for eight climate regions. Due to the need to issue warnings at the county level, there is a need to modify the existing algorithm. The paper presents the possibilities of the new algorithm, and the results are compared with the warnings given by the existing one.
