Sažetak
Transport activity is an economic activity with great external costs and usually is the precondition of development or its important accelerator. At the same time, transport is an integrating factor in the space. General aim of regional, national or continental transport policy remained the same and it will be the same: satisfaction of citizens' and economy needs in the optimum way. The transport policy is mostly influenced by, among the other issues, geo-political changes. These changes have been important in the Europe for the last 12 years: Germany integration, dissolution of former Soviet Union, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia into numerous independent states, with different impact on their surroundings. Along with geo-political changes, the changes have also been noted in European transport policy. This paper explains the role and goals of transportation infrastructure in the South-East Europe.
