Sažetak
Applying the decomposition method proposed by Firpo, Fortin and Lemieux(2009) and Firpo, Lemieux and Fortin(2011), we investigate the source of change in wages at different points of the wage distribution by decomposing the changes at various wage quantiles. Implicitly this study will address concerns whether for a given wage differential between/within performance pay jobs, the gender wage gap is increasing throughout the conditional wage distribution and accelerating at the top, the phenomenon called the wage ceiling effect, or whether the gender wage gap widens at the bottom of the distribution, the phenomenon known as the glass ceiling effect.
