Sažetak
Epistemic injustice as an unjustified practice of denying the status of a knower is a frequent phenomenon that social epistemologists monitor at the level of treatment of minority members of society, often with differences in gender, sex, race, and class. However, only recently has the philosophical literature recognized that practices of epistemic injustice occur in an epistemic exchange with a person with a mental disorder. In this context, today’s talk opens the issue of epistemic treatment in assessing the credibility of a person with autism, a topic that is recognized as insufficiently represented in philosophical discourse. More specifically, I will explore the practices of epistemic injustices in the exchange where autistic individuals are most vulnerable in, that is in the clinical environment and the patient/medical proffesional setting.
