Sažetak
This chapter provides an overview of landscape architectural education in Croatia. The period at the beginning of the 20th century is described when the foundations of education were laid through the organisation of landscape design subjects within gardening courses and the gradual implementation of these subjects in secondary and higher education in the middle of the 20th century and continues with second half of century, when universities established the first degree programmes in the country. This overview of landscape architectural education in Croatia explores the contributions of individual professionals and teachers in development of education: Vale Vouk, Zdravko Arnold, Ciril Jeglič, Elza Polak, Dušan Ogrin and Branka Aničić. The chapter also describes the contribution of the Horticultural Society in Zagreb, which laid the foundations of the profession and education of landscape architecture at the beginning of the 20th century in Croatia.
