Sažetak
The conversion of a tertiary amine into a quaternary ammonium salt by its reaction with an alkyl halide is known as a quaternization reaction or Menshutkin reaction. Due to the importance of using eco friendly solvents, we report for the first time, an efficient and sustainable Menshutkin reaction of pyridoxal oxime and substituted 2-bromoacetophenones in choline chloride-based DESs by three synthetic methods: conventional, microwave and ultrasonic.
