Sažetak
In this research, hospital protective cotton fabrics were subjected to repeated washing procedures according to ISO 15797:2017. Blue cotton fabric for surgical gowns and white fabric for linen were selected for 25 washing cycles. Washing procedures for white workwear and/or sensitive coloured trimmings –Peracetic acid (PAA) bleach were performed in Wascator FOM71 CLS machine at 75°C using Reference Detergent A1 with optical brightener by WFK. The influence of oxygen based bleaches (PAA and H2O2) and optical brightener on fabric properties was analysed by tensile properties, mass per unit area and spectral characteristics of selected fabrics after 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 25 cycles applying standard methods. The achieved results indicate the possibility of selected fabric to be used in hospital protective applications.
