Sažetak
The Corporate Governance in The Republic of Croatia is still being improved and developed in accordance with world trends. Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) and Croatian Agency for Monitoring Financial Services (HANFA) have established a framework of corporate governance code. The main topic of this article is to research if corporations in Croatia achieve governance development challenges like defining and promoting good practice, protect interest of small shareholders, complexity of role supervisory board, transparency of board remuneration, improving internal control system and supporting appropriate organizational culture by using Corporate Governance Code and Corporate Code of Ethics. The corporations at ZSE quotation have to submit Annual financial report and questionnaire of Corporate Governance Code to ZSE and publish them on official corporate web sites. The number of corporations at ZSE by sector classification at the moment of survey was 208, and the continuity of publishing Corporate Governance Code in period of five years has 58 companies. The reports are the main source of data for this survey. Author used data mining, analysis and descriptive statistic method as a research methods. The results of survey present acceptance and implementation of Corporate Governance Code and Corporate Code of Ethics ; transparency of these documents on official corporate web sites. It will be presented achievement of corporate governance development challenges in Croatia by using Codes.
