Sažetak
High-speed cameras have the advantage over classical measuring techniques that measurements can be obtained from a distance, without having any contact with the structure and provide a full- field response. The latter advantage is utilized to reduce uncertainty of identified damping. Due to the high level of noise a Morlet-wave damping identification method is used. It has the advantages of the continuous wavelet transform, that are: a relatively good frequency separation and a high resistance to noise, but it is significantly faster and simpler. The full-field damping identification results were averaged with regard to the identified deflection shapes. The method was tested experimentally on the simple structure up to 2.5 kHz. It was found that the results are comparably accurate to the damping identified using the high-dynamic-range and low- noise piezoelectric accelerometer, proving that damping can be accurately identified from high- speed-camera measurements, only.
