Sažetak
The first women philosopher employed at one Croatian university was Marija Brida (1912 – 1993). She worked from 1961 on the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zadar. Heda Festini (1928 – 2018) started her teaching career in 1961 on the Pedagogical Academy in Zadar. The first women philosopher who was employed on University of Zagreb was Branka Brujić (1931 – 2020). As can be seen, the employment of female philosophers at Croatian universities began in the early 1960s. For example, the Bosnian Herzegovinian mathematician Vera Šnajder (1904 – 1976) was the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo as early as 1951, and women philosopher Ksenija Atanasijević (1894 – 1981) in 1924, became the first female university professor at the University of Belgrade. The Slovenian women philosophers Alma Sodnik (1896 – 1965) became a professor of philosophy on the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Ljubljana in 1946. Ágnes Heller (1929–2019) was Hungarian women philosopher, professor, and member of the Budapest School philosophical forum. Julia Kristeva (1941) is Bulgarian women philosopher living and working in France, Mihaela Miroiu (1955) is Romanian women philosopher, professor and feminist, Marta Petreu (1955) is also Romanian women philosopher and professor. They all began their philosophical education and activities during the communism.
