Sažetak
The textile industry, as a large consumer of water, needs 1o reduce its impact on the emvironment. This can he done by minimizing the withdrawal of clean water from natural sources and reducing pollution with textile wastewater (TWW). Textile wastewater that is heavily polluted can be an excellent source of water for textile processes, especially wet processes that generate most TWW. TWW can only be used in wet processes if it is properly treated and does not affect the textile quality required by the customer. Membrane separation processes (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, membrane bioreactor) are very effective in removing pollutants from water and therefore produce a very high quality permeate that can he reused in textile processes (dyeing, bleaching, washing, etc.).
