Sažetak
This paper presents the possibilities of implementing the principles of circular economy in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry in order to reduce the negative impact of oil and gas exploration and production on the environment. It is obvious that the scope of these principles is very large, processing technologies and reusability are well known, but unfortunately there are still too few examples of their application in practise. The reasons for this are mostly insufficiently strict application of legal regulations and the high cost of applying the most modern waste treatment technologies.
