Sažetak
Mjesečnik "Kršćanska obitelj" su u Mostaru uređivali i tiskali hercegovački franjevci 1900.-1920. i 1938.-1944. U tom periodu u časopisu je objavljeno 9.094 različite bibliografske jedinice, ili približno 337 jedinica po godištu, odnosno 28 po broju i to na 6.751 stranici (bez omota). Uzimajući u obzir da je dio bibliografski jedinica objavljivan u nastavcima, možemo govoriti o oko 10.500 jedinica. U tom slučaju po godištu imamo 388 jedinica, odnosno 32, 5 po broju. Sagledavajući strukturu objavljenoga materijala, da se uočiti da tri četvrtine cjelokupne građe u KO čine tri skupine: društvene znanosti (3) 26, 3%, religija (2) 24, 3% i književnost (8) 23, 3%. Jednu četvrtinu građe čine općenito (0) 11, 7%, primijenjene znanosti (6) 10, 5%, prirodne znanosti (5) 1, 6%, umjetnost (7) 1%, zemljopis i povijest (9) 0, 8%, te filozofija (1) 0, 008%. Od 223 izdvojene podskupine prednjače pripovijetke s 7, 7% ukupnog materijala KO, predstavljanje knjiga 5%, ... U spomenutoj strukturi 5.554 puta je spomenuto neko mjesto iz BiH (najviše Mostar 1.126 puta - 20% spomenutih mjesta u BiH), te 4.472 puta neko mjesto u inozemstvu (prednjači Zagreb s 498 puta - 11% spomenutih mjesta u inozemstvu). Uspoređujući s prethodnim brojem imena i naziva te autora (6.740 u Kazalu imena I. i 12.252 u Kazalu imena II.), dobivamo zadivljujuću sumu od 30.520 jedinica u kazalima. (Iz uvodnog dijela sv. 1, str. 9). Prvi dio ove bibliografije čini popis bibliografskih jedinica prema znanstvenim područjima. Dugi dio čine kazalo razriješenih inicijala, akronima i pseudonima, kazalo autora, kazalo imena (I + II), kazalo spomenutih naseljenih mjesta u BiH, kazalo spomenutih naseljenih mjesta izvan BiH. Treći dio obrađuje ilustracije u Kršćanskoj obitelji i to popis ilustracija, kazalo osoba i kazalo toponima koji se nalaze na ilustracijama.

Christian Family, a monthly magazine of a socialreligious disposition, was established by the Franciscans of Mostar as one of many contributions to the improvement of the quality of life in Herzegovina. The magazine appeared for the first time at the turn of the 20 centuries, providing throughout its pages a message about the significance of past, current and pending future events. A large circle of people, conscious of the important historical moment through which they were passing, worked tirelessly to provide for people a vision of society ordered by Christian norms of living. The name of the magazine brought attention to its immediate agenda - the Christian family. The magazine, containing an important ideal to be put into practice in everyday life, was primarily envisaged for the Christian family. This ideal was expressed by way of enlightening articles, stories, spiritual talks, songs and news, as well as jokes and proverbs, all contributing to the creation of a perfect image upon which to model everyday life: the Holy family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. There is also another aspect of the magazine which we ought not to forget, that is, its national orientation. During the 28 years of publication the magazine never failed to bring attention to the distinctiveness of its people. Sufficient encouragement for this was provided by the terrible political upheaval that the people had to endure in those years: four different consecutive states, four different ways of thinking and working. If faith and nation were the magazines silver wings with which it flew into the future, well ahead of its times, love for all people is the golden plumage with which it was cloaked. This book is published as a tribute to those who envisaged and published Christian Family who, despite everything and everyone, despite all the difficulties and "rational thinking" of the time, took in hand the flag of faith and nation and bravely carried it into the future.
